Hi!
Even though we found out this is a “book in advance”-place, we walked in leaving the snowstorm behind us, to have one of the most delightful evening in the entire week we’ve spent skiing in and around the region. Monica and her family are an absolute treat, and aside from the epic meal she put before us, her hospitality knows no bounds.
Since the snow had kept everyone inbound we basically had the place for ourselves and got treated to an enormous assortment of local cheeses, meats and her homemade preserved vegetables, all of which came with an explanation about the way it was made.

We played a game of Munchkin near the wood lit stove and had ourselves a blast. After our epic meal we had some coffee (with Sambucca, Monica’s choice) and an assortment of in alcohol and aromatics preserved sugar cubes. They were lovely. (I had 3 too many, but didn’t regret it)
Our walk back home looked dreadful, until Monica herself offered to ride us up in her small 4×4.
She gave us a small tour of her village. She didn’t even want to accept our tip.
